Thank goodness for people like you two. Thanks for fighting for me. I couldn’t have had a more noble or dedicated team. Now, we wait for the arbitrator’s decision. However, I almost find that anticlimactic. This was a success for me regardless of whether or not he reaches the same conclusions. You gave me my day in court and told a story that needed to be told. People would ask me why I produced theatre, given that most productions lose money. They missed the point. They judge success by outside factors: reviews, length of run, recoupment, and profit margins. For me, success was watching the opening night performance and saying to myself, “That’s the production I hoped to see.” That’s it. No one could take that away from me. Victories are personal and are about how we judge those efforts, not how others judge them. I mention this because I feel the same here. Yes, of course, we’d love to win the case.
